Afghanistan is a lost cause - USA is outspending the Taliban/Rebels by a factor of at least 1000 for more than 9 years now.  If you are outspending your enemy by 1000 times for 9 years and still not manage to win the war, something is very wrong and you need to seriously re-examine your strategy and may be evne pull out.  I haven't heard conclusively from the military on EXACTLY what we are doing wrong there.  Why haven't we won already after outspending the Taliban/Rebels by 1000x for 9 years?
