How is Obama supposed to balance the budget when you have a crop of born-again fiscal conservatives who don't believe in revenue creation or the government doing anything to spur job growth?
Once the tea party and the far-right republicans are out, then we can get a Congress together that can compromise and get things done.
MY OPINION:
'Revenue? For what? To spend billions on the save the spotted owl society? Cut all non essential expenditures, cut defense as much as you can without putting our supremacy at risk and pay off the 14 trillion in debt. Once we are on our way to a balanced budget then we can talk about healthcare and pet projects. The bottom line is that Social Security, Medicare and Defense take up the overwhelming majority of the budget and they are growing. We cannot pay for it much longer and that is a simple fact. It sucks, but it does not stop it from being true. They have waited so long that it cannot be done without pain, and a lot of it. If we took every dollar from every millionaire it would not even put a dent in what we owe, all it would do is make them move on to greener pastures and take their jobs with them'
